RICKY’S SEASON NIPPED IN THE BUD AFTER CHEST INJURY: Well, that was quick.
Only six carries into his first NFL game in 18 months, and Ricky Williams is already out for the season:
The PALM BEACH POST reports that the Dolphins RB tore a chest muscle during Monday’s night mudbath against the Steelers. The injury came during the 2nd quarter, when a Pittsburgh LB stepped on Williams’ shoulder while chasing after Ricky’s fumble. Luckily, Ricky should already have proper medicine handy.
RICKY WILLIAMS READY TO ROLL FOR DOLPHINS TONIGHT: The Dolphins are high on Ricky Williams again, enough to have the rasta RB hit the grass tonight in Pittsburgh:
The SOUTH FLORIDA SUN-SENTINEL reports that Williams will play when Miami faces the Steelers tonight. The reinstated Ricky was activated to the Dolphins roster earlier today, after serving an 18-month suspension for violating the league’s drug policy.
