How Nick Adenhart Should Always Be Remembered

I hosted sports radio talk shows for many years, and selfishly I used to dread days like today. That is, being forced to talk about something that had no business being put into a sports context. Nick Adenhart was a person, not a ballplayer, as he’s been first reported as all day. It sucks, but that’s the way it has to be. I only wish I had a photo of him not wearing a baseball uniform.

Today I watched, heard and read sports media struggle to address Adenhart’s death, and end up just repeating what we’re all already thinking. In cases like these, we’re all on the same side. There’s no need to try to put something like this in perspective.

That is, unless you’re someone who knew Adenhart.  Thanks Matt.
