Willie Buie, the stepfather of C’s guard Marquis Daniels, is seen in the footage been removed from his seat by Orlando police and eventually subdued on the floor of the concourse while being tasered. (You can actually hear the stun gun go off while Buie yells at the officers.)
WESH-TV in Orlando reports that the stepfather of Boston Celtics guard Marquis Daniels was arrested and then tasered by local police while attending the Celtics-Magic Eastern Conference Finals game of the NBA playoffs Tuesday night.
The police report of the incident identified Willie Lorenzo Buie, the stepfather of the 28-year-old Daniels, as being charged with “resisting arrest with violence“.
ORLANDO SENTINEL NBA reporter Tania Ganguli noted today that the Celtics have confirmed Buie as Daniels’ stepfather and that the incident took place.

Beyond the charge against Buie, no other details in the police report suggest what caused the disturbance that led to Buie’s arrest. Though the report does give specifics about the alleged, repeated attempts made by police to subdue Buie, which led to him being tasered. Read more…

Our story so far: Pro athletes are out of control with Twitter, embarrassing themselves and their organizations at an unprecedented rate. We’re going to need a Presidential decree to stop it at this point, I fear. Mr. Obama, you need to act now. Health reform can wait. The latest to enter the SbB Social Networking Hall of Fail: Marquis Daniels of the Boston Celtics.
CELTIC HUB happened to notice on Wednesday that Daniels had tweeted a rather discomforting message to one of his readers. Unfortunately, as Twitter is available to read by everyone (you knew that, but pro athletes apparently do not), what was apparently a crude joke is now out there for everyone to enjoy.
