Dallas’ Dome Engineer Was Ex-Con W/ No Degrees

We’ve already covered how the Dallas Cowboys were warned that their practice dome was possibly unsafe, having been built by the same company in the same manner as a Pennsylvania structure that collapsed in a similar manner. Thing just get worse and worse, as today we find out they had reinforcements done last year under the supervision of an ex-con who lied about having engineering credentials.

Jeffrey Lawrence Galland was engineering director of Las Vegas-based JCI, which completed the 2008 work on the practice facility roof that was to “improve its ability to withstand pressure from wind, rain and other forces.” But Galland doesn’t have an engineering licence, and he also doesn’t have the physics degree his resume claims. In fact, no college degrees at all. This is the man who was in charge of the Cowboys’ safety.
