While Jason Taylor Dances with the Stars, Dolphins management might cha-cha his contract over to another club.

The PALM BEACH POST reports that Miami is looking to trade the veteran defensive end, hopefully for a first round pick in this Saturday’s draft.
Rumored to be interested in Taylor’s services are the Jacksonville Jaguars, who were considering Jared Allen before the Chief DE was sent to Minnesota. But when asked about jumping at the chance at Jason, Jags coach Jack Del Rio sounded discouraged, saying “In the history of our league … rarely are teams willing to part with those players.“
But the ‘Fins may be more willing than Jack thinks, as there’s concern that their start player should be drilling instead of dancing:

The FLORIDA TIMES-UNION reports today that “Jaguars defensive back Brian Williams went off on a sexual, racist and profane rant aimed at Jacksonville police during his 2006 drunken driving arrest, according to recently obtained documents from his ongoing prosecution.“

Officer E.E. Bridges noted shortly after the arrest Williams threatened “sex acts with the officer’s wife and daughter and later called Bridges, who is white, a ‘honky’ coupled with a sexual epithet.“ Of course, Williams also claimed that Bridges only arrested him because he was black (he actually used the n-word).
Fun stuff, but Williams saved the best part for his date on that fateful evening. Read more…

Dan Wetzel of Yahoo Sports does his best to stir things up today as he reports the reaction of Jaguars’ DB Reggie Nelson on the record breaking 26-for-28 passing performance last night of Tom Brady against Jacksonville (in a 31-20 victory).
Nelson: “He ain’t all that … He’s all right. It was a check down game. Anybody can go 26-of-28 in a dump-down game.”
Thanks to Wetzel, that’s when the fun started, as the reporter then scurried off to the Patriots locker room to get reax from Randy Moss and Donte Stallworth.

We’ve generally found NFL.com pretty worthless from an editorial standpoint, since those churning out the content either work for the NFL or the individual teams. So the stories you’re likely to get are akin to something out of a high school student newspaper.

But we now stand corrected, considering this piece of provocative editorial content put out by the Jacksonville Jaguars on their official website this week. Like every other website not nailed down, the NFL-sponsored site puts out weekly NFL power ranking from someone named Vic Ketchum.
This week’s power rankings have the Patriots, the Jags opponent in a Saturday playoff game, at #1, with an accompanying asterisk that says “cheated in one game“.
We suppose it’s a good thing Ketchum won’t be suiting up on the Jax punt team at Gillette in two days.
