We’ve never been to one of those medieval-themed restaurants, but apparently they have a tendency to get diners a little overexcited about fairly obscure NBA wingmen.
The ORLANDO SENTINEL reports that a brawl recently broke out at a central Florida restaurant called “Medieval Times.” The melee involved multiple teenagers as they fought over … Rashard Lewis’ autograph?
Lewis just happened to be at the establisment, dining with his family: “I guess they were all frustrated, wanting an autograph. It was crazy. They were fighting, going at each other. We just got out of there.”
For some reason, that sounds a lot like Ringo Starr back in the late ’60s. Not a fair-to-middlin’ NBA player on a small market team.
It is astonishing to us, the piggish behavior displayed by people around celebrities, sports or otherwise. But then again, we are in this case apparently talking about the same demographic that stays at The Excalibur in Vegas.
Never mind.
