Not necessarily for lining the pockets of a college instead of himself, but because he realizes he isn't ready to be all that he can be in the NBA. I think he has a bright future, and having a dad who played and made his fortune probably gives him more patience than some about his payday. Good for him for pushing himself as far as he can.
