I like Foote but I don't think Foote is thinking clearly on this one. If he is cut and is a free agent, he will give up his close to $3 mil salary this year and will have little bargaining power with prospective new teams. There won't be a bidding war for an average linebacker. Why would any team break the bank to sign him? I wish him well though.

As a Steelers fan, no hard feelings. The writing has been on the wall for over a year, what with the cap situation and Timmons' grooming. Larry played hard and played well, but everyone knew there was no way he was going to start this year. Might as well get a decent contract with Detroit and remain a starter. Good luck, Larry.
