PITTSBURGH SPORTS AND MINI PONIES trots out a fun little story about Dr. Michael Bummer. The good doc is a Pittsburgh-area gynecologist and avid Steelers fan. And he recently made the trip out west to CBS Television City to appear on “The Price Is Right” - decked out in a Steelers jersey.
During the show, Bummer was asked to bid on a lovely diamond necklace. Since he was the last of the four contestants to give his answer, Dr. Mike could have gone the safe & easy (and really annoying) route of bidding $1. But he decided to get clever - and bid $69, dude!

It’s hard to decide what’s funniest about this bid-ness:
• The guy is a Steelers fan & gynecologist.
• The guy is a Steelers fan & gynecologist with the name Dr. Michael Bummer.
• The guy is a Steelers fan & gynecologist with the name Dr. Michael Bummer who shouts out “69!” on national television.
• Instead of shelling out $200 for a personalized jersey, he puts tape on the back of the nameplate & scribbles in “Dr. Bummer”. Is business really that bad, Doc?
• Drew Carey’s uncontrollable laughing fit. Because we know Drew loves those dirty jokes.

This is hilarious, but what the hell is a doctor doing on TPIR? I think he can afford all the crap on the show. Let the poor (and trust me, these people are generally poor and "interesting") people that attend win some stuff. Nothing beat the strange guy that was behind us in line when we took a work "field trip" there. The guy had the theme song on his mp3 player, and he just kept playing it over & over as he wandered around. Good times. No, wait… that's a different show. The Price is Right, I mean.
