They went shooting at a range with police supervision. The picture does make it look like the supervision was somewhat lax since anyone who has experience with guns know you don't point them at anybody or treat them with anything but total respect, but that's an indictment on the police present and those in charge of the range. As far as kids being present, I wish more kids would be given lessons on gun safety from trained professionals using real firearms instead of where most get there info - from video games.
