Blount started the week before the game saying they owed Boise “an ass-whooping”. My first thought when I saw the altercation live was that Hout said something to the effect of “I guess you owe us two now!”. Which would have been good trashtalk. Had Blount not said anything, than Hout saying anything would be uncool.

No matter what trashtalking there is, there is no reason to punch a guy out. He deserves the suspension and hopefully his NFL career is over and he has to learn what it means to actually work for a living. Being on his college football team and living the life of a superstar made him feel untouchable and he’s about to get a reality check.

Great. I’m sure the guy runs up with all of those people standing around and then proceeds to tap his shoulder and drop a yelling n-bomb. And by the way, there was a Boise State coach standing right there.

This story is crap. Please also stop trying to justify Blount’s reaction. I don’t give a damn what the guy said, it isn’t justified. Both parties acted foolishly, but they were not equally foolish. Blount needs to be a bigger man after running his mouth for weeks and then getting embarassed on the field. Hout’s only transgression was a singular showing of lack of class. There is no rational equivocation.

Hey alan…..one of my favorite Dance Partners called me, “Yell”, short for “Yellow Type”…..been called “Gook” , like so many times, though I served My Country so much in the late ’60’s and early ’70’s like you can’t believe…..Call me anything you dare…..I’ve only twice been called late for Dinner…..

somebody needs to hold hout to account. trash talking after a certain point is just not cool.

…but suckerpunching a guy for something he said (I heard it was “Now you owe us two asskickings”) is just fine? How about going after the crowd?

Trashtalking is part of every sport, particularly football. If you get physical after the game ends because of words and act the way Blount did, you get kicked off the team.
