UPDATE (2:25 ET): Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer reports “the gunman has been apprehended.” Dyer’s spokeswoman reports Jason Rodriguez was located at his mother’s residence and caught by a S.W.A.T. “without incident.”
Scary stuff in Orlando today as Local 6 reports on a gunman terrorizing an office building in the Central Florida city:
The shooting took place at Reynolds, Smith And Hills, an engineering and construction firm located at the 16-story Gateway Center. Police said (Jason) Rodriguez is a former employee at the firm.
Rodriguez is still not in custody and is reportedly driving a 2002 Silver Nissan SUV D119UX. He’s obviously considered arm and dangerous. Last year, Rodriguez was let go from Reynolds for “performance” issues.
Still in the building is Orlando sportscaster Whit Watson, who is Tweeting updates.
Six people have been wounded. One person has been confirmed dead. I’ll keep updating as news comes in. And you can follow Watson’s Twitter here.

This guy used to host the Tailgate Overtime show about the state of florida’s college football teams. It was awesome. Stay safe everyone in the building.
