Brodeur has had a great defensive team in front of him, but Roy, who finished his career giving out rebounds like candy but had the good fortune of being behind one of the dominant teams of that time (the Avs) didn't have the same benefit? Roy was great. At one time, he was the best. But the quality of the team he was playing for made him look even better. And if I needed to win one game? Vladislav Tretiak. Hands down. Of those listed, I'll go with the guy with the better win%, Goals Against (regular season and playoffs), the better save % (in both regular season and playoffs) and more shutouts. That's Brodeur, by the way. Also, even if we chose not to count shootouts, the man still has 42 games to make up the 22 OT victories he has had since the institution of the Shoot Out. (not all of them were Shoot Out victories, but that should put the doubts to rest.) At his current winning %, it'll happen.
