Snoop Bowl III Goes To the Orange Bowl

Maybe it lacks the sizzle that Lingerie Bowl IV will provide, but the third-ever Snoop Bowl, scheduled for the day before Super Bowl XLI, will have its own kinda supizzle-bizzle that only precocious young ‘uns of overbearing parents can provide.

Snoop Bowl III pits the Snoop Dogg All-Stars - a youth football team from California coached by Tha Doggfather himself - against an all-star team from South Florida under the guidance of NFL stars Zach Crockett and Al Harris.

15,000 spectators are expected for the matchup at the way-past-its-prime Orange Bowl. The winner receives the Snoop Bowl Trophy - a creation of Tiffany, which also makes the NFL’s Lombardi Trophy.

Snoop Dogg’s posse has claimed victory in the first two Snoop Bowls - of course, that’s to be expected. If only the players could accompany Coach post-game, when he’s the main performer at the Penthouse “Goin’ Deep Super Party” held at the Mansion nightclub on South Beach.

Tickets go for $1,000, but the CHICAGO TRIBUNE reports that residents of Illinois, Indiana and Florida can get in for $750.
