Slava Kozlov’s Wind: It’s Around Here Somewhere

Greg Wyshynski, an NHL blogger for YAHOO SPORTS finds an old video of Slava Kozlov walking into Scott Stevens’ best fastball:

Scott Stevens flattens Slava Kozlov

The video proves that two things will never change as long as we watch hockey on TV.

1) We’ll always be entertained by spark plug defensemen occasionally making as missiles.

2) And Gary Thorne will find a way to screw up the call.

The question is, who screwed up the call more? Thorne, for originally misidentifying Kozlov as Bob Rouse before correcting himself? Or Bill Clement, who not once, but twice, referred to Slava Kozlov as “Viktor” Kozlov. For God’s sake, the guy had an entire commercial break to catch his mistake, and he still repeated it.

I can really see getting Bob Rouse and Slava Kozlov mixed up. Very, very similar players. Right.
