5:30 PMJason La Cafora of NFL.com reports that Larry Johnson has cleared waivers, which means the Chiefs are the ones who'll have to pay the $2.3 million remaining on LJ's contract. La Cafora also speculates that Johnson will eventually wind up with the Houston Texans.

5:00 PM Bengals DB Chinedum Ndukwe escaped serious injury when the limo he was riding in crashed into a utility pole. Ndukwe was heading back from a local elementary school after visiting with students as part of his Fuel Up To Play 60 health program.
4:45 PM South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier is taking back playcalling duties from his son (receivers coach Steve Jr.), and also says he plans to remain with the Gamecocks for another three to four seasons.
The video proves that two things will never change as long as we watch hockey on TV.
1) We’ll always be entertained by spark plug defensemen occasionally making as missiles.
2) And Gary Thorne will find a way to screw up the call.

The question is, who screwed up the call more? Thorne, for originally misidentifying Kozlov as Bob Rouse before correcting himself? Or Bill Clement, who not once, but twice, referred to Slava Kozlov as “Viktor” Kozlov. For God’s sake, the guy had an entire commercial break to catch his mistake, and he still repeated it.

Or Bill Clement, who not once, but twice, referred to Slava Kozlov as “Viktor” Kozlov. For God’s sake, the guy had an entire commercial break to catch his mistake, and he still repeated it.
