WIGGERS TO HAVE TO WAIT FOR SUMMER OLYMPICS DEBUT: AroundTheRings.com has sources today reporting that the hopes of introducing skateboarding to the 2012 Summer Olympics in London are “headed for a crash landing.”

Something called the International Skateboard Federation was hoping to partner with the International Cycling Union (which is firmly entrenched in the IOC’s good graces) in an effort to score Oly recognition. But that partnership has gone sour in recent weeks and it now appears that 2016 “is a more likely start for skateboard“.

Based on all the so-called sports now populating the weeded-out Winter Olympics docket, we’re flabbergasted that skateboarding has somehow been excluded this long.
