A Philadelphia gas station showed off their Sixers support Friday by hosting a special limited-time offer: 76-cent gas for 76 minutes.
The PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER pumps up news that the Lukoil station at Spring Garden St. & Delaware Ave. sold the 76 cents-per-gallon gas from noon to 1:16 p.m. today.
Seems extreme? Not when unleaded is reaching $3.69 a gallon.
Customers were lining up as early as 6:30 a.m. to fill up with the fantastic fuel price, with long lines described in a very Un-Philly-Like “orderly” fashion.
The special offer was part of a promotion with the Sixers and their NBA playoff battle with the Detroit Pistons.

Gas, pistons - makes sense. But it would have been even more perfect to hold the 76-cent sale at a 76 station.
