Shoe fetishes grow

Some call it a shoe fetish. It’s more a sneaky sneaker addiction. Either way, the support groups must only be a click away.

But considering that the numbers is growing of those who seriously pile up boxes of Air Jordans, Chuck Taylors, adidas shell-toes, etc., to such an extreme that they’re buried in rubber souls, it won’t be too surprising.

The PORTLAND OREGONIAN reports that as the websites, magazines, books and movies about the sneaker culture grows, it’s only a matter of time before something goes very wrong.

“I think people are more aware (of sneaker culture), the general public, because of the media and Internet,” said Alex Wang, creative director for Sole Collector magazine and an admitted shoe aficionado.

Just kicking this idea around: If the shoe fits, wear it. Don’t pile it up in the closet.
