Wasn't Ronaldo's transfer fee paid to his old club (Man U), not Ronaldo himself? I thought they're still working on his contract. (Don't tell Paris.)

This argument makes no sense. NBA and NFL draft picks get bigger guaranteed bonuses because the odds they can help the major franchise immediately is infinitely greater than baseball. Nice try Boras…hahahahah.

Revenues? What about net losses? Pay a guy $50M to pitch in front of an empty stadium and the smallest tv share in the country… Let me know how that works out when the team folds, and the league is forced to contract.
