8:02 PM Scott Wolf of the L.A. Daily News reports that USC football's unusually mediocre performance this season can be traced to lack of depth, which in turn can be derived from a downturn in recruiting.

7:45 PM The latest episode of the NBC show 30 Rock included a spoof of ESPN's Around The Horn called Sports Shouting. The spoof even included fake sports crawls, one of which read, "Jacksonville residents no longer aware of Jaguars."
