If you listen to a certain half of the country, Sarah Palin is a menace and must be stopped. Well, she’s already claimed her first victim: St. Louis Blues goalie Manny Legace.
(Down goes Legace!)
The Vice Presidential Nominee was in St. Louis last night to drop the puck for the Blues-Kings game. Yes, another puck drop. We get it, she’s a hockey mom. If this were the WWE, they’d have dropped that gimmick by now and made her a zombie or something.
Palin, instead of skating out, which would have been pretty great, used a carpet to walk to center ice. Legace, taking the ice after the puck drop, slid on the carpet and went down with a strained hip flexor.
“I felt a pull right away,” Legace said. “I was hoping it would just go away.”
Legace had to leave the game after the first period, and the Kings won 4-0, thereby easily covering the spread, in case that’s something Ms. Palin had her eye on. Not insinuating. Just saying.
Wisely, officials removed the carpet after Legace’s spill, so as not to claim any more lives. For his part, the goalie doesn’t hold a grudge, saying, “She’s been pretty good for our game. I’m starting to like her more and more. No grudge.”
Legace will also miss tonight’s game in Minnesota, so feel free to take the Wild and give the points, and don’t be shocked if someone takes out Rick Nash with a high-powered governmen-issued rifle during warmups.

This hockey mom bit sure beats what Hustler mag is doing with a certain cougaresque porn star that thinks she's a dead ringer for Ms. Palin.
Oh well, at least the Right can't say Ms. Palin is getting poorly treated by the big bad MSM. We've got another election cycle of this in 4 years, regardless of what happens on 11/4.
