Yesterday, we shared news & pics of New York Jets QB draft pick Mark Sanchez already establishing himself as the second coming of “Broadway Joe” Namath - not because of any remarkable on-field talent, but because of his appearance in a revealing photoshoot for GQ magazine.

Upon seeing such snapshots, many questions spring to mind. How much ribbing is he going to get from his teammates? How much more is he going to get from other team’s fans? Shouldn’t he be spending his offseason studying playbooks instead?

But of course, all these points pale in comparison to the biggest question of them all: Who’s that babe in the bikini with him?

That would be Hilary Rhoda. The Maryland-born model has built up quite a resume, making many appearances at fashion shows and appearing in numerous ads for companies like Estee Lauder, Louis Vuitton and Neiman Marcus. Hilary’s even had a stint in this year’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. (Hi, Bar Refaeli!)

Ms. Rhoda’s real name is apparently Hilary St. Claire, which sounds to me like a better model moniker than Hilary Rhoda. But if she wants to use the same name as a wacky neighbor from “The Mary Tyler Moore Show”, that’s her prerogative.

So, in Hilary’s opinion, how did the GQ shoot with the QB go? Pretty well. The NEW YORK POST’s PAGE SIX reports that Hilary was on WFAN’s “Boomer & Carlton” show when Boomer Esiason (another ex-Jets QB, by the way) “expressed concern that Sanchez had already appeared half-naked in a pictorial before calling his first play for the team.”

But Hilary quick brushed such concerns aside, responding that “Mark’s a dedicated, focused athlete.” We’re not sure if Esiason even heard her reply - he probably just spent the show with his eyes transfixed on his sexy studio guest. Or maybe Boomer was bummed because GQ didn’t ask him to pose first.

Hilary also wished Sanchez well - up to a certain point: “I look forward to rooting for him and the Jets — except for when the Redskins are in town.”

Taking a look at the 2009 schedule, she’s off the hook for this season. Now let’s take a look at a couple more examples of Hilary’s work:

Who knows - maybe true love did blossom on the GQ set, but Mark & Hilary are staying mum about it. The duo would definitely be a formidable threat to Tom & Gisele’s status as the NFL’s star power couple. And before you know it, Hilary would be posing with muscular naked black men herself.
