As an alumnus of the University of Georgia, I would be remiss if I didn’t congratulate Tim Tebow today on his spectacular career.

As an alumnus of the University of Georgia, I would be remiss if I didn’t congratulate Tim Tebow today on his spectacular career.
9:04 pm on December 5th, 2009
Ohh the pain of losing but I’ll take 2 of 4 titles any time. Thanks Tim Tebow. Great show SEC, Go’Bama in the BSC
9:05 pm on December 5th, 2009
Kiffin called it, and he’s a punk for crying about it.
9:07 pm on December 5th, 2009
As a Georgia fan I have to say I respect Tebow very much. I hope him all the best. Hope he finds his calling other than football. He deserves more than people like Brooks
9:08 pm on December 5th, 2009
Tebow would punk you Bar None
9:40 pm on December 5th, 2009
Maybe, but I won’t cry about it…. I was wrong to call him a punk, he’s a pussy.
9:41 pm on December 5th, 2009
Good one, but as a Florida alumnus i’d like to remind you that Georgia has beat Florida exactly three times in the last twenty years.
If the Mendoza line gets you @!#@canned in baseball, not even getting there over the last two decades means that you are straight owned in football.
10:18 pm on December 5th, 2009
Tim Tebow is an incredible competitor and and even better human being who has done nothing but carry himself with the utmost of respect and dignity in the fishbowl known as college football. Those that attempt to demean him are the ones showing their true colors. 4 years, 2 championships, 1 Heisman - not too bad a resume.
10:43 pm on December 5th, 2009
Sure, I’ll be the jerk in the crowd, I’m a PAC-10 guy, so WTF…
Okay - great guy, good athlete now, but the package is too clean to believe IMHO. We all know about Florida (moral cesspool of the USA) so will it hold up when the big bucks flow in? Just askin’?
11:40 pm on December 5th, 2009
I’m not a Florida fan, but Tim Tebow is not only a talented athlete who gives 200%, he’s also an example of how all athletes should conduct themselves.
It doesn’t matter if he plays in the NFL or not. The classy way he conducts his life will make him a success no matter what he does.
11:54 pm on December 5th, 2009
Someone better call the waaahhhmbulance.
12:28 am on December 6th, 2009
Seriously?! I agree with all of y’all saying that Timmy is a good person — I met him and went to school with him and had a friend who had the “ins” so-to-speak on the athletes. He IS truly a good guy. Chris Leak on the other hand… Anyway, the thing that I say “seriously?!” to is Florida is NOT the moral cesspool of the USA! I cannot believe you’re that narrow-minded to say that, and that’s offensive to me b/c I’m a Floridian and know plenty of other places in the US that aren’t exactly morally upstanding. Aside from that point, I don’t get why it’s so hard for people to believe that some little 22-year-old who’s lived in the fishbowl that is college football (I agree with that statement) is truly as good as he seems.
12:36 am on December 6th, 2009
Bar None…you could apparently only hope for people to think of you what they do of Tebow…I am a UGA fan to heart, however, I have never watched a QB pull the team together the way that Tebow does. He is a good person, with a great belief and it is weak minded fools as yourself that have no clue….I would like to say, I would take a man that has no problem showing his heart over a person as yourself that must have such issues with him/herself to call someone names over something like that…His career and life speaks and will continue to speak for itself…What do you have???
12:59 am on December 6th, 2009
I think that the play on this photo of Tim Tebow is very distasteful and disrespectful to the word of God. Tebow’s wearing of the scriptures on the eye black is not a prank or a gimic… it is to strengthen him and his teams resolve… win or lose. To publish such a prank is belittling to Tim Tebow and the word of God. The problem is that not enough Christians in this fallen world are willing to stand up and put God first or front and center!!! Kudos to Tim Tebow, and may God have mercy on the prankster who decided this was appropriate.
1:15 am on December 6th, 2009
Wow, you SEC dudes are easy to f*** with! All the family lives in Florida, so don’t be telling me it’s normal… Wait, maybe that’s the problem - everybody in Florida thinks they’re normal! NOT.
Okay, so dudes in West Pennsyltucky think it’s okay to boink cousins, too, so don’t feel weird.
Told you I was the jerk in the crowd, what did you expect?
2:33 am on December 6th, 2009
41-17. Georgia sucks shit.
2:49 am on December 6th, 2009
Shameful behavior and disrespect of others beliefs!
Keep religion out of public sports, and show more respect for the rest of the World. This guy is no better than The Taliban, The Spanish Inqusition, KKK, Salem Witch hunts, Catholic priest rapists and Redneck intollerance in ANY FLAVOR. Boot him off the Team if can’t contain his disrespect for others. A “Born Again” Michael Vick! We do not need his kind of trouble maker.
3:21 am on December 6th, 2009
Rather than wearing his religion on his sleeve, he wears it under his eyes. Be careful about crying; you might wash it away!!
4:17 am on December 6th, 2009
blah, blah, blah. I liked him until he started bawling like a little girl. We will see if that glacial delivery even gets him drafted in the first round.
4:29 am on December 6th, 2009
Despite Tebow’s obvious and endlessly discussed strengths, he DOES in fact have flaws… for one thing, the emotional maturity of a six-year-old. Anyone who’s paid attention knows he cries when things don’t go his way, every single time. He also taunts more than any active player at any level, and no one ever seems to notice. (He’s God’s Quarterback, not some black kid with dreadlocks, so let’s call it “intensity.”) I am a Dawg, and from talking to my non-Dawg friends, I will say that the rest of the SEC, minus Auburn, was mostly rooting for Bama.
4:32 am on December 6th, 2009
Hey, BJams… you put scripture on your face with every game, you set yourself up for a little razzing. It is NOT disrespectful to God, or Christians… it’s par for the course. Much like celebrities who love the press when it’s good then say “respect my privacy” when it’s bad… you just don’t get to choose. Expect to take it in the pants when you blow it.
5:23 am on December 6th, 2009
I’ve always said he was not Superman. He is human and is indeed a cry baby.
7:22 am on December 6th, 2009
I am a Bama fan. I hated to see Tim loose. He is such a great person on and off the field. He is what American sports person’s on and off the field should look to for how to live life. Tim can have what he wants in life God will grant it.
Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
7:59 am on December 6th, 2009
Hey Tim, thanks for cryin like a baby on national tv. now folks wont remember me lookin sooooo goofy with my bug eyes when i throw my head set.
8:19 am on December 6th, 2009
Hey BJams you know whats disrespectful to god..athletes who wtite scripture in their eyeblack.. God doesnt want you clowns pointing up to him or praying in the end zone or thanking him every time a reporter asks you a question . God doesnt even like football, hes into soccer. May god have mercy on tim tebow for crying all over him scriptuire laden eyeblack. on national tv….like theres a god anyway lol.
8:24 am on December 6th, 2009
The University of Florida should not even be letting Tebow put that in his eyeblack. They are a Public University.
9:17 am on December 6th, 2009
What is this russia? cant a man b proud of god?
9:25 am on December 6th, 2009
Seems to me be that 22 in a row and 2 titles in 4 yrs is a considered good,I think its great show me 1 other program in the last 10 that can say the same. Thanks Tebow, Urban
9:38 am on December 6th, 2009
I cannot believe people are saying it’s disrespectful for him to put scripture under his eyes…so much for freedom of religion…oh, wait, I guess you have freedom as long as your a Muslim, Atheist, Agnostic…anything but a Christian. As far as I’m concerned he’s pure class. Yes, he’s emotional but I’d rather have someone emotional about something than someone who doesn’t care. How many times have you watched the Super Bowl (or any other high profile event) and the loser is in tears when they lose?
Thank you Tim Tebow for your CHRISTIAN walk and for your love of GOD OUR FATHER!
9:56 am on December 6th, 2009
if it’s disrespectful to make fun of someone putting bible references on his face then it’s should be equally disrespectful for bible thumpers to talk about my shirt that says “hey brain wash idiots there is no gods”
10:03 am on December 6th, 2009
So Tim Tebow had a bad game, it happens. I was hoping that Alabama would win and they came through rather convincingly.
I cannot remember ever seeing a player of Tebow’s caliber that cried over losing a game. Surprising.
10:43 am on December 6th, 2009
I’m a die hard BAMA fan but I want to congratulate Tim Tebow on his spectacular career and the posative role he has set for our youth. He has done nothing but carry himself with the ulmost of respect and dignitity in college football Thank you for being the christtian that you areand not being afraid of letting people know it. May God bless you. ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!!!!!!
11:47 am on December 6th, 2009
I have to chuckle when fans from “lesser” schools live vicariously through another team’s victory over their rival. The 22-1 run has been fun. How does it feel losing 5 games this year and if your counting…17 out of 20 over Jawja.
12:16 pm on December 6th, 2009
Johnny Jack: Hey, can I be disrespectful to you about your atrocious spelling and grammar? I’m an agnostic, so I’m not doing it on religious grounds. Your T-Shirt reflects the mentality of a moron.
Bar None: I don’t know you and I don’t know Tebow. But from what I’ve read and seen of each of you, I’d much rather associate with Tim. You’re just a jerk. Tebow, by almost all accounts, has been an outstanding college football player and a fine person. Maybe you’re jealous.
1:08 pm on December 6th, 2009
As a confirmed Alabama fan, I must object to all those who are criticizing Tim Tebow. He is more of a real man than any of them will ever be. He has shown nothing but courage and faith his whole career and I am sure he will continue to do so. Even though I was excited about the result last night, I shed a tear of compasion for Tim when the camera showed him tearing up on the bench.
3:18 pm on December 6th, 2009
After watching Tebow get in the face of his linemen all year and screaming about their performance, I was curious why they didn’t sit him down and scream back on that dumb interception late in the game. He deserved some of his own public humiliation of others in the name of “intensity”
3:46 pm on December 6th, 2009
I cant believe anyone would dis Tebow. I guess its easy to make fun of someone when the critical person has never played Div 1 sports and just sits around the couch with their beer and big mouth. Go out there and take a hit from a 320 lb. lineman and then see if you can run your mouth.
4:45 pm on December 6th, 2009
You jesus freaks make me laugh so hard. You’re all weak minded, hypocritical, gullible, and stupid.
5:19 pm on December 6th, 2009
The most amazing thing about this post is that Brooks claims he went to college!
5:44 pm on December 6th, 2009
Thanks Tim, I have been a Gator for over 30 years, The last 3 have been great. We as Gator fans can say Tebow and Meyers are our Gators!
Loosing in Atlanta isnt anything compared to the last 3 years with Tim.
I have seen just about all of Tim’s home games and some others, I was in Atlanta for the last 3 times we won, and it was great.
What an inspiration Tim is and at a time when we can use one!
No matter what we will see Tim over and over back on Florida field, Im sure
Tim has CHARACTER! and will be a prize for whoever gets him in the NFL!
6:23 pm on December 6th, 2009
You think hes crying now, just wait until he sits through the first day of the draft.
7:44 pm on December 6th, 2009
I have never viewed this site before, but after seeing the Tebow pic with the bible verse changing to the Bama score–I’ll be back. Very funny!
7:49 pm on December 6th, 2009
Tim Tebow, a great human being. Wish there were more like him in College Football or the NFL. I enjoyed watching the game.
10:26 pm on December 6th, 2009
id like2 c what the ncaa would do if a muslim saying was under his eyes
10:28 pm on December 6th, 2009
how many arrested gators the last few years. 27. ouch!!
10:50 pm on December 6th, 2009
I DID NOT POST THE ABOVE FROM 10:26pm. THAT IS AN IMPERSONATOR!
I dont like the gators, I am a seminole fan and its been some lean years. But I did not make the above muslim v. christian remark.
11:28 pm on December 6th, 2009
Poor Tebow. I saw his stupid parents in the stands looking stupid. Stupid parents. Stupid eyeblack. I agree with the guy that said guys shouldn’t bring God into sports. What, do you think God cares more about YOUR team than the other guys team who was praying just as hard? Food for thought.
12:59 am on December 7th, 2009
That is a classless potshot photo.
And Tim is a Class Act guy!
1:08 am on December 7th, 2009
Tebow was upset understandably but in spite of it all he gave the winning team the respect they deserved and complimented then in every way then said God Bless just as he has done when he has won.
Any father would be proud to have a son as centered with as fine a set of values as Tim Tebow. He is the kind of grist future John Wooden’s are made from.

I wonder if when Mark Ingram thanked God for the win, Tebow felt betrayed.
5:27 am on December 7th, 2009
I fu**ing hate Tim Tebow, I was so glad to see him lose. And what’s the deal with everyone running to his side and defending him and judging all the Tebow haters? Can’t I sports hate anymore? That’s what sports are about, if everyone was a “class act” then it would be disgustingly boring. One of the best things about sports is “sports hating” players.
And Tebow looks like a GD retard when he screams like a rabid animal and spits all over the place like he’s one of jerry’s kids.
5:30 am on December 7th, 2009
Tebow probably is a good guy. But damn, give it a rest. Tebow-mania has long been old.
5:52 am on December 7th, 2009
Tebow may be a great human being and football player but he has a poor sportsmanship ethic. No one wants to see a grown man boo hoo about a football game - it was ridiculous! And even worse was that another player was consoling him as if he were a 3 year old and Tebow appeared to be receptive to it. That guy needs to grow up! He is supposed to be a leader on his team.
5:57 am on December 7th, 2009
outstanding human being
7:23 am on December 7th, 2009
Only a few people DO worthwhile things, a lot of people have nothing better to do than to criticize. Real men do cry, and especially when they want something badly and have done everything in their power to accomplish it. To shed some tears shows an intense feeling of loss. An honesty in your actions. No shame in it. If we knew what Tim was really feeling, I would bet money that it was that he felt he had let others down. For the agnostics out there, I wish I had a way of knowing who you would call on if you ever got into a real life-threatening situation.
8:03 am on December 7th, 2009
The comments against the scripture below the eyes just shows how many people don.t believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ because they are too self absorbed to seek the truth about God. If they don’t change their mind they will end up in Hell. Read and study the Reason For God by Timothy Keller a NYC preacher who speaks well to the indifferent and doubting.
8:20 am on December 7th, 2009
This is in reply to Carol and all of the other “Jesus Freak” haters out there. Some of us in this world love Jesus Christ and do not renounce him. You have your right to not believe, just as we have our right to believe. If Tim Tebow wants to wear his scripture as his armor, who are you to criticize. He is not asking the rest of the world to believe, he is simply believing himself and giving his glory to God. No one said you have to agree. Tim Tebow is a good kid…give him a break. You morons seem to forget that he is 22 years old. I only pray that my son is half the man he is at 22 years old. God Bless! is what Tim would say to all of you. Love him or hate him…he is who he professes to be…can you say the same? Gator Nation!
9:33 am on December 7th, 2009
I find it amusing that so many people want to dis Tim Tebow for being who he is but worship at the feet of celebrities such as Michael Jackson or Roman Polanski. Tim Tebow has shown the world who he is. He goes out there every Saturday and gives everything he has. He, along with other Gators, has won two national championships. He has won a Heisman. He has won the hearts of every Florida Gator out there. He is a football player, but he is also a man with strong faith in God and knowledge in who he is. He is a role model for our children. He is who we should be begging our children to mimic. I definitely want my son to be a man such as he. Is he Human? Of course! Does he err? Of Course! Is he a man because he cries? Of course! You all seem to forget that he is just a kid…22 years old. His heart was in that game…his college football career was coming to an end…he was not crying to be a cry baby because he lost—have a heart…don’t you remember what it was like to be 22 years old and want something so badly…to know that life as you know it was coming to an end…what happened to EMPATHY and COMPASSION in this world? You are all a bunch of cold hearted people who need to find their own faith in God. At least Tim is at peace with who he is. I agree with Dawn…can you say the same? Go Gators!
10:28 am on December 7th, 2009
He’s a good guy, no doubt. And obviously a great athlete. A man of strong faith…. But his methods( eye black) and behavior seem to be more of an immature and cheesy attempt to glorify himself more than Christ. I mean, it’s a football game, people. And I bet the other athletes and his own team mates resent those antics. I think it’s a lot more “classy” to play with respect for the game, show humility in your achievments, than to act like a clown and a cry baby.
11:50 am on December 7th, 2009
As a OSU Buckeye fan who has been on the receiving end of Tim Tebow’s athletic skills and talents, I must say that he is an exceptional young man who has always conducted himself with class, in defeat (rare) as well as in victory (numerous). Football is a game, not only of strength, intelligence, and will, but also of emotion. he is as fierce and determined a competitor I have seen in all my 63 years. Negative comments usually are prompted by envy or short-sightedness. I wish him well in whatever his future holds.
12:31 pm on December 7th, 2009

12:47 pm on December 7th, 2009
I thought John did a pretty good job of predicting the final score…..I don’t know who John was on Tim’s face but 16 to 33 was pretty close…to the final…32 to 13. To bad for Timmy and all those “crocodile tears”…I forgot they were the Gators…..not crocodiles!!Guess God wasn’t watching the game.
12:56 pm on December 7th, 2009
Whoever this is that blasphemed God by editing the scripture under Tebow’s eyes, I don’t want to be any where near you… The game Saturday, ( along with any other game) means absolutely nothing compared to the awesomeness of Almighty God!! Once we all leave this Earth; we will all go to either Heaven or Hell, depending on whether we have accepted Jesus as our saviour by accepting his death, burial, and resurrection; that is what is important… This degradation of Tebow’s witness through his eye black is (Not Funny!!!); It is deplorable and unacceptable… May God have mercy on the soul’s of people who are stupid, or ignorant enough to pull a so-called joke like this one…. Jesus Saves!!!
1:05 pm on December 7th, 2009
I was very impressed with the way Tim Tebow spoke after the loss. He obviously was upset but controlled himself and spoke positively and praised Alabama. John 16:33 33 “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
How appropriate! A good football movie to watch is “Facing the Giants.” Good Bless!! Randy

To all who are bashing Tebow for his religion: If I die and find out I am wrong in my religious beliefs, no harm done. But, what if you die and find out you were wrong in your beliefs…? Think before you speak…!
1:55 pm on December 7th, 2009
Tebow is a pussy. Unless he gets a lead he can’t finish games. He’s 2-6 when trailing at half time. I certainly won’t want him on my NFL team with that. Not to mention did you SEE that weak ass throw that got intercepted? It looked like he put all he had into it and a 5′8″ guy caught it. My 10yo daughter throws harder than that.
2:50 pm on December 7th, 2009
Hey Marcus Crassus, I’d love to see you stand 20 yards from Tebow and let him throw you a bullet….He’d knock your teeth out. And what does it matter that a 5′8″ guy caught it? Steve Smith is 5′8″!! You’re a moron dude. I’m not a Gator fan, but all of you haters are normally a bunch of underachievers in most respects, including the douche bag Brooks who owns this site.
3:15 pm on December 7th, 2009
First let me take my hat off to Tim Tebow for a sucessful 4 years @ Florida. He has had an outstanding career and represented the university proudly. I am not a gator fan but when I started hearing and seeing Tim on the highlighs of sports reports and reading articles about him I knew that there was something special about him. For a 22 year old college athelete to express his faith in God the way he does makes this 57 year old christian proud. He will continue to be a sucess in what ever direction his career goes in. Keep the faith Tim.
3:25 pm on December 7th, 2009
My personal opinion of the advertising of Bible verses is that it is rediculous. I respect everyone’s right to freedom of religion, I don’t like the fact it’s being advertised. Recruit christian converts in other, more personal ways, being a successful athelete will help you win an audience, it just doesn’t need to be on national TV every time you’re playing.
4:04 pm on December 7th, 2009
To paraphrase a movie line , “there’s no crying in football”; the purpose of the eye black is to reduce glare reflection from sun/lights, so what’s the point of painting them white? The’re not designed to be billboards!!!
5:54 pm on December 7th, 2009
I never been a Florida Fan.I m so glad they got beat !!!!!!I filled so sorry for the little baby crying.
8:57 pm on December 7th, 2009
Somehow, I don’t see Jesus playing a brutal sport where you are rewarded for dominating and demoralizing your opponent. I mean, the heisman is given to one who is the best at that! Enough of this “Love Jesus” while you’re stomping another’s brains out! God loves football??
9:34 pm on December 7th, 2009
This is tasteless, but then no one ever accused you of having good manners. Roll Tide, but I say Tim Tebow is the best football player in my lifetime of 63 years.
9:58 pm on December 7th, 2009
who’s brooks? for someone claiming to be around for 16 years, how come i have not heard about you? i have been scanning the sports sections for close to 40 years. brooks? please. oh, by the way, how did georgia do this year?
10:35 pm on December 7th, 2009
Saddest thing on this thread is all the angry, offended Xians threatening others with hellfire and damnation. Figure out your own destiny and let other good people worry about their own. As far as Tebow’s open evangelizing, I seem to remember an injunction to do one’s praying in secret, instead of ostentatiously broadcasting it everywhere. And N Tims is right: God doesn’t care who wins a footlball game. If God is paying attention at all, He’s worried about other things.

Overrated showboat.
Timeh Tebow has benefited from the best supporting cast in NCAAFB for three years. He’s a really good player, and nothing more.
He has used his celebrity for self promotion in the most nauseatingly immature and self grandizing manner.
He is now yesterday’s news. He will not be a superstar in the NFL. At best he will have a modestly successful, 2 to 3 year career with a team who needs a hybrid skill player. At worst he will be performing more circumsitions on Phillipino boys in that creepy missionary outfit his Dad runs.
We lost to Florida in this game last year. I don’t recall JPW crying like a pussy with 4 minutes left on the clock.

I’m waiting for T-bow tears when the media gets wind of his lurid co-ed behavior. There are a few bible verses that apply to his fornicating follies that need tattoing on his backside.

let’s not forget that tebow is also very YOUNG! maybe that accounts for some of his few minor mistakes at handling the inordinate attention he has gotten. in terms of class, i still say he smokes brooks. who IS brooks, anyway, and why is he an “expert”.
the “punk” or “pussy” here is obvious.
11:33 am on December 8th, 2009
The SEC is a great football conference, but delivering outstanding individuals is not one of it’s strengths. I would say for every 1 Tim Tebow, you have 10-20 Travis Henry’s. Tim Tebow is not only a great football player and a great team leader, but a great human being. Why don’t you all just appreciate what the kid is. As far as the NFL, I would take him on my team anyday, but it would only be a stop on his rise of being a special human being to so many more than just football fans.

10:12 am on January 3rd, 2010
After reading these comments, I’m just thinking, “Who are the real ignorant, hate-filled, insecure bigots here?” Another question would be, “If Mr. Tobow was displaying his sexual orientation proudly, or his political views, or his taste for stealing, drinking, or screwing around, would there be a single cry for him to not display his personal views or feelings?” That would be a violation of his rights wouldn’t it? It would be considered politically incorrect, or hate speech or prejudice or some phobia. However, he appears to be a christian or at least he says he is, so therefore, we can assume he is a a self-promoting hypocrite who offends those who, in this days world do not tolerate his kind, so he should lay off the bible verses because we all know that’s illegal here in the USA or better still he should just go over in the Philippines and abuse the children there in that “fly by night outfit his daddy runs.” Tim Tibow lives before a big public eye and his actions show his heart. Some of the comments here show the contents of the hearts that moved the hands that typed them. Ignorance, jealousy, insecurity, bigotry, hatred, intolerance come in all shapes forms and sizes . . . even the anti-christian brand. When did we become a people who believes a young man should not openly display his faith and reveal his passion for a game he loves if he chooses to do so. Where is the tolerance and respect for all people including Tim Tibow? Final question to ponder- “Who gets to triage bigotry?” “A rose by any other name would smell as sweet” I am a life long BAMA fan who respects Tim Tibow and appreciates the refreshing example he is to countless young lives here in our Country! (They need all those they can get!) He happens to be a pretty good ball player too and his performance in the Sugar Bowl backed it up, at least it looked that way to me.
