One of the three miracles cited by the Pope in the canonization of the first native-born American Saint, Mother Seton, was her healing of a nun in New Orleans early in the 19th century. Almost exactly two hundred years later, we have what I consider our second miracle attributed to a Saint (or 53) in astonishingly the same location.

The NEW ORLEANS TIMES-PICAYUNE reports today that thanks to the New Orleans Saints win over Minnesota on Sunday, its Monday edition sold out on newsstands almost instantly. Demand for the hometown news print has since been so great that the newspaper continued to offer Sunday’s edition for sale well into Tuesday.
Considering the current state of the newspaper business, the events of the past 48 hours in New Orleans apparently now has local residents believing anything is possible:
