Ricky Williams Resists The Urge To Smoke Weed

Considering that Ricky Williams has cost himself millions of dollars in his NFL career by testing positive for marijuana four times, we come to understand one thing: Ricky Williams really likes to get high. I mean, if I were in Ricky’s position I would probably just forget about the weed, and get high like rich people are meant to get high. By having my doctor write me some bogus prescriptions, but Ricky? Ricky just wants the weed, man.

So it’s no surprise that the last three days had to be pretty tough on him. The Miami Dolphins were on a bye this weekend, so Ricky really didn’t have anything better to do than sit around his house. It was the perfect time for him to just roll a couple joints and just chill out.  Well, thankfully for Ricky and the Dolphins, he was able to fight that urge.

From the MIAMI HERALD:

”Most definitely,” Williams said. ‘It’s greater because, like, Thursday, coach told us we had Friday off, so automatically your mind, which is so constrained since training camp began — every day is a grind, it’s a grind, it’s a grind — and then Coach says `you’re free.’ And the mind says, `I’m free, what can I do?’

“So there was definitely an urge. But I just thought about what I have to lose and it was easy. The urge didn’t last very long.”

“Plus, like, there was a Aqua Teen Hunger Force marathon on Adult Swim, and like, it was hard to not get high while watching that. Like, it’s so much funnier when your baked, you know? Like, man, it’s like just so much better. What were we talking about?”

Seriously, though, we’re all very proud of you, Ricky. You managed to go an entire three days without getting high. That’s something to be proud of, and something that calls for a celebration of sorts. If only I could think of a way for us to celebrate.

So the NFL says weed is wrong…?

    But prescription painkillers are A-OK!

Well this is misleading "You managed to go an entire three days without getting high." He has managed to stay clean much longer than three days.  For anyone who has an addiction, every day is without giving in is something to be proud of.

Whoever posted this is an inconsiderate ass.  You may think it's funny, but for people with addiction problems, 3 days can be an eternity.  I hope you never have to deal with some of the stuff you make fun of, you may not find it so funny

    To JerkMeOff, JonKidd, chesbomb…

Pull your heads out of your asses or if that isn't possible, invest in a glass stomach.  This is marijuana we're talking about.  Marijuana.

It's not like the dude has been shooting up heroin or smoking crack rocks or blowing coke for years.  He smokes pot.

Let's not get all high and mighty for addicts rights.  Williams is a stoner.  Not an addict.

You’re retarded. Marijuana has no addictive properties. It’s the easiest drug to quit, as well as the safest.

Dear McLane, go f*ck yourself.  You obviously have no knowledge of drug culture other than what you read in magazines.  I just don't think it's a subject to be taken lightly, and the author obviously doesn't understand that.  Easy solution for me, I just won't come to this site anymore.    There are plenty of sports sites out there that will stick to sports and leave personal issues behind.  I make a simple comment about a serious issue, and I'm attacked by a cyber bully telling me to get my head out of my ass?  I think I'll go spend my time at grown up sites.  You kids have fun…
