Morning DJ Coach Kidd was suspended by WVSR-FM after playing the Michigan fight song over and over on his show - much to the ire of his West Virginia listeners.Kidd, a Michigan native, has been riling up Mountaineers fans with his glee over Rich Rodriguez leaving Morgantown for Ann Arbor. Listeners had complained that Kidd’s support of Rich running out was “disrespectful to the state“.

Management had asked Kidd to tone down his Maize & Blue bragging. But after playing “Hail To The Victors” for the fourth time on his Wednesday show, Kidd was yanked off the air.WVSR’s program manager said, “Basically, it boils down to insubordination. He was just taking it a little too far.”
