Alan Hahn of NEWSDAY breaks the news via “multiple sources” today that LeBron James‘ Thursday night appearance on ESPN to announce his future NBA team destination will take place in Greenwich, CT.
Multiple sources told Newsday that LeBron James’ one-hour special on ESPN, called “The Decision”, will be broadcast from a studio in Greenwich, Conn.
Frank Isola of the NEW YORK DAILY NEWS follows with a Tweet that, “there is word it could be at Boys n Girls Club in Greenwich.”
The location of the announcement will surely lead to speculation that James may be giving heavy consideration to the New York Knicks and New Jersey Nets. Greenwich is 25 miles from New York City.
Countering that thought though was ESPN NBA reporter Ric Bucher, who Tweeted after the Greenwich news broke:
Rumors of NYK having legit shot at LeBron or him going to Mia seem like an attempt by LRMR to create suspense for Thurs show. An NBA exec: “Who does a 1-hour special on how you just ripped the heart out of your hometown?” Now a 1-hr special on why you stayed…
“LRMR” is the marketing company run by James and three childhood friends from Akron.
