TMZ reports Saturday morning that in a conversation with, “a non-law enforcement type“, Tiger Woods said that his wife Elin Nordegren caused his “facial lacerations“.
We’re told he said his wife had confronted him about reports that he was seeing another woman. The argument got heated and, according to our source, she scratched his face up. It was then Woods beat a hasty retreat for his SUV — but according to our source, Woods says his wife followed behind with a golf club.
As Tiger drove away, she struck the vehicle several times with the club.
We’re told Woods became “distracted,” thought the vehicle was stopped, and looked to see what had happened. At that point the SUV hit the fire hydrant and then hit a tree.

We’re also told Woods had said during the conversation Friday he had been taking prescription pain medication for an injury, which could explain why he seemed somewhat out of it at the scene.
If TMZ’s report is true, it confirms that Woods’ reported extramarital affair was the reason for his “accident” - and that Nordegren was anything but helpful in ensuring his well being.
Rachel Uchitel, the woman allegedly involved in Woods’ affair, has gone on the record in forcefully denying any involvement with the golfer. But apparently Nordegren isn’t so convinced.

Remember, Woods is due in Los Angeles next week for his personal golf tournament, the Chevron World Challenge. Do these revelations put that appearance in jeopardy? Possibly. If Woods’ facial injuries aren’t severe, I believe he’ll still show up.
But with this apparent revelation about how he injured his face, he may well not want to appear as to suffer that embarrassment.
Either way I think we’ll be hearing from Woods very, very soon for his spin on the past week’s events. Perhaps as soon as today (Saturday). He has hundreds of millions of dollars in endorsements at stake - not to mention his marriage.

For years Tiger has, with very few exceptions, carried himself as a gentleman and champion in the face of overwhelming scrutiny and occasional rudeness. He is human, but before believing he has a relationship with this woman we should look at the evidence, which is damn little. How many rooms in this hotel in Austrailia, why was she in Austrailia at all, what is the woman’s ‘friend’s motivation/reward, why does the sportswriter say it was Tiger’s hotel-10 rooms or 250 makes a difference to me. We have to treat him the way we would want to be treated, how about seeing what he and his wife have to say, give him some respect for being the man who changed/carried golf and given us such excitement on the course.

Well, leave it up to you “general masses” to try and destroy a man over a private incident. What he does is his business, and I disagree that he is a “public” figure so he should have to answer to the public. He is an elite athelete who trained his entire life to get where he is. And he is one of the greatest golfers the world has EVER seen. He deserves and should have his privacy to work out his issues without a pack of wolves coming down on him with supposition and innuendo.

It’s a complete shame including myself that we are intrigued by what’s happened to the Wood’s Family. The true victims here are the children and how they’ll suffer at school and be scorned their entire life for what Tiger has done. Not to mention how Erin reacted in front of the children. I could only imagine the tension in the home and how everyone involved must feel. Even if the children didn’t see Erin act, they will know about it. What kind of Christmas the children will remember for the rest of their lives. Instead of picking apart the family, we should all Pray for the family.
