Ref-Biting Soccer Player Now Charged in Stabbing

Rannord A. Jones definitely has some anger management issues. The Delaware man who was accused of biting a soccer referee in the face is in trouble again after reportedly stabbing a man during a restaurant fight.

The WILMINGTON NEWS JOURNAL reports that Jones turned himself into the police on Monday after the incident that occurred in a Jamaican restaurant early Sunday morning.

According to police, Jones & his friend Alexander Bennett were at the restaurant when a man & woman who were dancing accidentally bumped into Bennett:

Bennett became upset and tried to punch the woman but her partner stepped in to defend her, according to court records. Bennett and his friend Jones, the man accused of biting the referee, pulled knives, officials said.

Jones then stabbed the Smyrna man under the left arm while Bennett stabbed a 32-year-old man in the hand. Both victims were treated at Christiana Hospital and released.

Both Jones & Bennett were charged second-degree assault, possession of a deadly weapon and conspiracy. Jones was released after posting $21,000 bail, while Bennett was freed after posting $16,000 bail.

It’s been a busy month for Rannord, what with all the soccer ref face-biting & restaurant stabbings. Maybe he should just buy himself an exercise bike and order in from now on.
