REALITY SHOW CONFIRMS RED SOX NATION SHORT ON MEN: Turns out that Red Sox reality dating show, “Sox Appeal,” isn’t the hit NESN cable executives thought it would be.

While reading a promo for the show during the Red Sox-Blue Jays broadcast yesterday, announcer Jerry Remy said the show isn’t getting enough men to participate. “Get off the couch, sign up, go to Bob’s Stores [to register] and take a shot. Who knows, it could end up in bliss for you.”

This confirms what Yankees fans have know for some time, that the Red Sox Nation has always been short on men.
