Edwards’ Pimp Hand Can’t Keep Cribbs in Hospital

Alex Marvez of FoxSports.com reports this morning that Josh Cribbs is out of the hospital after suffering a concussion on the last play of the game between the Browns and Ravens last night.

Ray Lewis Knocks Out Josh Cribbs

Cribbs was forearmed in the face by Ravens DE Dwan Edwards on the Browns’ ill-fated last-second pass play to end the game.

Video after the jump.

So the Browns lose their best player on a stupid play to end yet another loss.

Randy Lerner needs to get a set and bring in Mike Holmgren, or anyone to clean up Eric Mangini’s mess. Lerner I’m sure is worried about the outrageous buyout he’ll be forced into with that move, but he’ll lose a lot more money long-term if he doesn’t do something.

Brady Quinn got INT’d earlier and injured Terrell Suggs with a chop block during the runback. This dirty hit on Cribbs by Dwan Edwards was payback.

The referees clearly blew it by not throwing the flag — Edwards would have been ejected and the Browns would have gotten an extra play. (Can’t end a game with a penalty on the defense)

Expect a 1-2 game ban and a hefty fine for Edwards.

Careless journalism. The video contradicts the title. Let’s not assume folks. After all, it was Hines at #1 for the dirtiest player in the NFL, not Ray.

Wrong. That’s a clean hit that happens in the confusion of a game-ending gadget play. When you’re down by 16 points, what the Hell are you running it for anyway? They should have made Quinn keep throwing the deep ball until he landed one in bounds.

Also, I don’t think Quinn tried to make a dirty play on Suggs - it’s just that his blocking skills are even worse than his passing, leadership and decision-making skills.

Get real.. look at the play. Cribbs laterals, and turns to watch the play not where he is on the field. If you watch, Edwards puts his hands out because Cribbs gets in his way. When you’re 320 hitting a 180 punds dude.. guess who loses?

clean hit. people dont watch line man, if a dude gets in your way flatten him. personally had that been my college team i would have sumbarined the QBs knees, the same action as quinn did to suggs just because im 290 should make a difference, besideds tearing quinns ACL would be beneficial

stupid meaningless play got Cribbs hurt…not Edwards fault. Hit on Suggs was dirty, Edwards hit was just football.
