Yesterday Oregon football player Kiki Alonso piled on the Ducks off-field problems with an early morning DUI. Sunday morning Oregon senior wide receiver Jamere Holland commented about Alonso on his Facebook page.
As part of an obscene rant, Holland indicated that Alonso had already been kicked off the team.
how the f–k you kick kinko off the team,,, on some weak sh–, niggas always faded he slipped up but ive been slippn up, and I’m still here, that sh– weak buff cuh could have done damage for the ducks, that sh– is weak, weak ass f–k, quote me
“Faded” means drunk and yes, “kinko” is “Kiko.” Dude was emotional at 4am Sunday morning, cut him a break.
I have an email in to Oregon Sports Information Director Dave Williford for an update on Alonso’s standing with the team. If Alonso was deleted from the team, I’ll be a little surprised considering the current situation facing Oregon starting running back LaMichael James. (Alonso plays special teams.)
If that is indeed the case, some may think Alonso is unfairly being made an example of by coach Chip Kelly, but first let’s find out if Holland’s comment is accurate.

If football doesn’t work out for Jamere Holland, I’m guessing “writer” isn’t a second option.

Haha, the person (brooks?) who requested him as a friend, and is still awaiting confirmation, is the one to make a national story out of his facebook status.

“Jamere Holland chilln thinking of another status to f*ck with the readers heads, I wish I could block whites as friends and only have blacks LOL, cause apparently I’m misunderstood”
This kid is not only illiterate, he’s a PR nightmare too. I say kick him off the team and bring back the linebacker. At least he only screwed up the one time. This Holland kid is a too dumb to help.

This can’t be real. J. Holland is a better man than this would seem to indicate. Isn’t he?

Brooks… i think you’re a despicable opportunist maggot. never mind the fact that jamere’s status was ridiculous, that a gag order should be put in place and that such things give the appearance of a program out of control and out of focus. What troubles me most is that people like you are out there milking it without offering up any sort of solution. The true mark of good journalism has always been to insert contributive commentary. You miserably fail to do so.
What should be done:
1. University-imposed and Athletic Department enforced gag order on all athletes (all 515+) regardless of sport.
2. Immediate all-player meeting for football.
3. Release of a statement from CK and MB pointing out a strict policy - the black and white of what will result in immediate release from the team for at least the next 30 days.
4. Thorough AD/SID review of all currently approved media credentials, as well as all pending requests.
See anything else?

greenskin, a journalist’s job is to report the news, not to offer up solutions to fix the problem.

Talking sh*t on Facebook:
The #1 demise of America. Understand this…Nobody cares about your blog, nobody cares about your emtpy posts. Play football, make money, and learn how the world works.
I cannot help but think if the AAP (Average American Public) got off Facebook/MySpace/Twitter, and actually put their time/money into something useful, how better off and ahead our country would be.
Rule #1 for the AAP…Nobody cares about your blog…If nobody is paying for your posts, nobody cares one iota about your blog.

That is ri-goddamn-diculous If he got a DUI for being stoned…in Eugene. If you can’t drive safely while stoned you are either a member of AARP, a woman or both.

“Dude was emotional at 4am Sunday morning, cut him a break.”
Um….why? He just lambasted the coach…who just 48 hours earlier made a public statement about team conduct and how they carry themselves.
Not to mention he’s a USC reject (how the F did he get into USC?), can’t stay eligible, and has frustrated Belotti and had several chances to get his shit together.

What is ‘ buff cuh ‘? is that supposed to be ‘because’?
2:11 pm on February 22nd, 2010

Big-ups “dan”.
Best post I’ve read on any site, anywhere in the last week.
When you start offering sollutions to news, you open yourself to partiality and therefore you lose objectivity and eventually credibility.
Just report the news. Let us decide where, what and whom we believe and why we do so.
