“Leatherheads” starring George Clooney, Renee Zellweger, and John Krasinski (The Office) will be released to the public on April 4th. Hollywood doesn’t formally recognize “Crappy Football Movie Connoisseurs,” but if they did, I’d pretty much be at the head of the class. I’ve seen “Varsity Blues” well over a hundred times, and I was the 7th person to officially say that “The Replacements” sucked. I believe my resume speaks for itself.
Pre-screening for “Leatherheads” took place earlier this week, and reviews for the film hover in positivity.
AINT IT COOL says, “The film has potential to be this holiday season’s big date movie, as it combines romance for the ladies and football for the guys.”
The DULUTH NEWS TRIBUTE interviewed Gary Radosevich, director of operations for the Duluth-Superior Shoremen football team, who deemed the movie “fantastic” but said there wasn’t quite enough game time for him.
Radosevich claimed, “Too much romance, not enough football.”
In that vein, we’re guessing the 2005 Minnesota Vikings would enjoy.
