If your thinking of getting yourself a pole for home use, Take a look at the X-Pole XPert it really is the best for home use. Assembles in less than 10 minutes and packs away when not required.

How do they judge this event, anyway? Use a series of plethysmographs on a panel of judges?

This is going to be the biggest trend in the country for the next ten years. A restaurant in Los Angeles, Ca., Hana Sushi, is the first Japanese restaurant in the world to install three poles for pole dancing. Everyone who sees this phenomenon for the first time is giving it a try. And it will be in the Olympics in Rio come 2016.

There is an Olympic rule that all new sports must be open to both male and female participation.

I am hoping to represent the United States in the Men’s Super-Heavyweight Division of Pole Dancing, and hopefully win the gold medal.

Go Team USA !

If you're seriously still thinking that this is some sort of joke, or haven't been properly educated regarding the 'sport' of Pole Dancing as it currently stands…you should be. Especially before commenting on anything related to the issue. Pole Dancing is actually a worldwide competitive sport-for both men and women. There are governing bodies working to standardize the language, moves, levels of tricks, etc. as the sport works it's way through the steps to become an Olympic Sport-which it inevitably will be at some point. There's no way around that. If you've really tried it-you know this! Get fully educated and check out the actual step-by-step proclamation FROM the OLYMPIC COMMITTEE on how the sport will get ready for Olympic Status at the following links. Time to leave the 'stripper' stereotype behind people-it's long gone!
