There is a difference in balls that is somewhat significant if you have ever played highly competitive tennis. Wilson balls come off the strings lighter and seem a bit softer. Overall the balls have more feel, but get fuzzier quicker, which creates a bit of drag. Penn tennis balls are rock hard compared to Wilson’s (no pun intended). They have seemingly less feel, especially after using Wilson’s over a significant period of time. There is a level of frustration switching between them because the ball comes off your racket quite a bit differently
