I am shocked that more people are not absolutely pissed about this ruling.

This is ridiculous. I am a white guy. So I am not coming from the standpoint of attempting to support my homey. Plaxico is an American Citizen. This is completely messed up. Two years in jail is insanity. He shot himself! He had a concealed guns permit in Florida that had expired a few months earlier. Granted, this is in New York and not Florida. But it highlights the fact that he had made attempts to carry a gun legally in the past. He should have received maybe a small fine and that is it. TWO YEARS IN JAIL…..TWO YEARS! BALLS!

Just seems like a contradiction to me. You want to take the guns away from the “rednecks” who mostly own guns “legally” so that inner city blacks will stop shooting each other with their unregistered, illegally purchased guns with no serial numbers. Great plan. Why don’t you make snickers bars illegal for all of us because the fat kids can’t stop eating them. I’d say something about cigarettes but we can’t smoke those anyplace now anyway. Oh and alcohol is legal but weed is really bad. Where’s William Wallace and his chants of FREEDOM when you need him. Maybe we just need a Queen, huh? That’ll fix everything.

No whats stupid is you thinking it’s BS for him shooting himself in the leg. It’s because he had it in public and shot himself. He put other people in danger, what the hell does he need a gun for. He deserves it.

No one seems to think about why he took a loaded gun into a crowded club. What was his intention or motive? He had to know he was either a target for something (drugs) or he was making a target out of someone else. Another thing that no one talks about is the fact that the gun wasn’t registered. What does that mean you un-educated city slickers might ask? It means he could kill someone and the authorities could never trace it back to him. The bottom line, Plax was definitely hiding something.

Try this - outlaw handguns completely throughout the US. Then, in a city of 3+ Million people you too can have an average of only 76 murders per year. Yes, that’s right, only 76 murders per year. And guess what - only 50% of those murders are with handguns.

With a murder rate of only 1.8 per 100,000 maybe there’s something to this gun law thing?

But let’s not stop there - UK: 1.1 murders per 100,000, coincidence? I think not. Australia: 1.5 per 100,000.

The point is this: lower murder rates are evident in every other developed nation that has outlawed handguns. What are you waiting for? The red-coats aren’t coming around the bend anymore. Just the red-necks!

Plaxico deserves to be in jail because the gun that he carried into the night club could have lead to the injuries or deaths of others in the night club. It wouldn’t have been likely, but it was possible, and his stupidity of shooting himself served him right.
