PITCHER IMPRISONED INSIDE POTTY, CAN’T GET INTO GAME: A relief pitcher went to get some relief during a game, but got locked in the bathroom and couldn’t get out:
The MONTGOMERY ADVERTISER has the poop on Mobile BayBears pitcher Matt Elliott, who after his 8th-inning duties, went to use the facilities at Montgomery’s Riverwalk Stadium. Unfortunately, he slammed the door so hard, he somehow broke it and became trapped inside.

When it was time to return to action in the 9th, Elliot was still locked in the loo. After an 8-minute game delay, the BayBears decided to send out another pitcher to the mound, who eventually gave up the winning HR in the 10th.

Elliot spent almost 50 minutes in the toilet before being released - 20 of those minutes after the game ended. Not even gorging on a chili burger from Tommy’s can keep you in the can for that long.
