Photo: Taylor Swift Spotted At Notre Dame Game

Country music star Taylor Swift was photographed today on the sideline of the Notre Dame-Purdue college football game outside of Chicago in South Bend, Indiana.

I’ve been told by a source at Notre Dame that Swift was visiting her brother Austin, who is a freshman at the school. Swift was also joined by her mother Andrea.

Not exactly a shock that Swift could get a sideline pass to a Notre Dame football game for herself, her little brother and her mom - especially considering that Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly admitted last week, unsolicited, that he has some of Swift’s music on his iPod.

In an interview with WNDU-TV in South Bend, Kelly said:

Well, you have to understand going back, growing up, I’m going to have the music that I listened to when I was in high school and college and that’s Bruce Springsteen for me or, you know, those kinds of artists. And then you have to be in touch with what your kids are listening to, so we’ve got a little Taylor Swift on there. And then today with your players, what are they listening to? So we’ve got a little rap. So you know, I think in my position eclectic is probably the best word I could give you relative to music.

Actress Selena Gomez was also spotted on the same Notre Dame sideline on Saturday. Gomez, who stars in the television series Wizards of Waverly Place, is enrolled at nearby Northwestern University.

I didn’t think it was possible for her to be uglier than she already was. I was wrong. She’s an Irish fan.

Chris Robinson is not impressed with her ability to get a sideline pass.

“Notre Dame-Purdue college football game outside of Chicago in South Bend, Indiana”, are you kidding me? As someone who attended Notre Dame, saying South bend is “ouside of Chicago” is like saying “Philadelphia, just outside of New York City”. Not only is it in another state, it’s a frikken 2 hour drive!!

I don’t think Taylor is swift enough to get into a good college, at least without a hefty donation. She barely made it through high school…

how sad that people who aren’t catholic have to be so un-christian-like - - I am not catholic but I thought the Bible said - - Love God - Love People - - at least that is what my preacher talked about in church yesterday,

What a bunch of haters. I’m not a fan of Taylor Swift but what a bunch of haters. It’s amazing the hate towards ND. I guess if they had no tradition nobody would care.

Brian Kelly has Taylor Swift’s music on his ipod? Does he also have some Hanson and Miley Cyrus?

Taylor Swift is a very classy and talented entertainer like Notre Dame is in both Academics and Sports. Notre Dame like any great institution is either loved or hated. I am a Texas Alumni both respect the School.

Just an FYI, she requested to sit in the student section, but security thought it would be safer for her to be on the sidelines.

And outside of Chicago? There’s no need to reference a big city to make sure people know where South Bend is. People have heard of it, ya know.
