Count Caroline “Caz” Pal as the latest notable human being to play the “I’ve been victimized by the media!” card, saying that photos brought to light across the blogosphere, - including right here at SPORTSbyBROOKS - are no indication of who she is.
(This isn’t topless? Really? You’re sure?)
That Pal is trying to improve her image is no surprise, given the general furor that she received for traveling to Baltimore & spending Thanksgiving with Phelps, his mother and their family. Still, what is surprising is that she would be upset the shots were found, since, according to Norm Clarke of the LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL, they came from modeling shoots for an urban clothing line called Beverly Hills Pimps & Hos. Yes, Pimps & Hos is part of the official name. In the words of Dave Chappelle, “You may not be a ho, but you sure are dressed like one.”
And where were the photos found in the first place? According to Pal, brace yourself here, they came from, where else, Facebook. Don’t worry, you can see all of them again after the jump.
As for Pal, she sounds furious that the pictures got out, let alone that they were, as they diplomatically say, taken out of context. Still, if the main proprietors of a brand like Beverly Hills Pimps & Hos are Carmen Electra, Dennis Rodman and Nick Cannon (ok, maybe Nick Cannon isn’t scandalous), that may not make the best statement about its legitimacy.
Pal says she’s “never shot topless photos, ever. No topless, no stripping … Those photos are not a statement of who I am.”
She has a pretty interesting explanation about the photo that looked as if she was blatantly topless, too.
“In one, I was holding my arms across myself (breasts), and they put a big bar across my arms to make it appear I was full frontally topless.”
Unfortunately, Pal isn’t saying anything about her relationship with Phelps, including confirming or denying that it still exists. In between comparing herself to the Pixar fish Nemo & issuing body-language “no comments” on Phelps’ support as she’s been under the media spotlight, she did admit that she’s been contacted by PLAYBOY and a variety of other mags where she could finally take those topless photos she insists she hasn’t.
Pal says she’s not interested, citing her conservative parents. Then again, she hasn’t heard the dollar amounts yet, either. When you’re working as a nightclub waitress in a miniskirt at a Las Vegas nightclub, are you really going to turn down 500 grand?
You just never know. In fact, we’re betting we’ll get better photos sooner rather than later. After all, Amanda Beard did PLAYBOY, and she won’t even go near Phelps. That means it’s just a matter of time for Pal, right?
