PETTY POLICY: The AKRON BEACON-JOURNAL reports on some strange signs posted at Cleveland Browns stadium last Sunday - apparently directed specifically at Oakland Raiders Owner Al Davis.

One sign read "Just Sue Baby" - playing off Davis’ popular "Just Win Baby" phrase. And "Commitment to Excellence" was changed into "Commitment to Litigation" on another placard.

The signs were also professionally made, leading to speculation that the Browns and Team President Carmen Policy were involved in the production of the signs - though a Browns’ spokesman denied it.

REALITY TV GOES TO THE JOHN: ESPN2 reports The Golf Channel is planning a reality show around John Daly.

The 11-episode show, called "The Daly Planet," will somehow try to capture Daly’s trainwreck of a life. The program will begin airing on January 18.

With the news, I’m assuming The Golf Channel will be quick to cash in on an orgy of product-placements, including Earplugs, Otis Spunkmeyer, Colt 45, Marlboro, Zig-Zag rolling papers and Diet Coke.
And while I’m not a big fan of reality shows, I must admit The Golf Channel made the right choice in picking Daly - and steering clear of Vijay Singh.
