Patriots LB Mike Vrabel Defends Himself Against Cheap Shot Accusations

LB VRABEL VEXED BY VICIOUS CHEAP-SHOT ACCUSATIONS: Mike Vrabel may be a touchdown virtuoso, but he’s no cheap-shot artist:

Mike Vrabel

The BOSTON GLOBE reports the Patriots linebacker has denied accusations of foul play. The complaints came from Cleveland, who said Vrabel deliberately dove at the knees of tackle Joe Thomas during the Pats’ 34-17 win over the Browns. Guard Eric Steinbach labeled Vrabel as “classless”.

The LB stood up for his style: “I don’t play that way, and I’m sorry they feel that way.” And coach Bill Belichick publicly confirmed his player’s honorable intentions.

Jackass underwear chase

But Vrabel’s best defense came from teammate Rodney Harrison: “Nothing dirty on Mike except his underwear.”
