An owl flew in for a Euro 2008 qualifier between Finland and Belgium, causing a six-minute delay in the game. The bird sat on one of the goals, then did a couple of swoops around the stadium that would make Auburn’s War Eagle proud.

After the hooter halt, Finland notched two goals and went on to win the match, no doubt fueled with revenge by being a poor second to Belgium when going abroad (audio link).
