Last night Tito Ortiz held a press conference in Los Angeles with his lawyer Chris Mathews in which attorney Mathews claimed Ortiz did not physically abuse Jenna Jameson - and that the mother of Ortiz’s two children was addicted to Oxycontin.
“Jenna has been fighting a battle with OxyContin addiction for the past year. For Tito and her family this has been an uphill battle. Unfortunately this morning she had a relapse. Tito was trying to help her, she has threatened suicide before. Tito has done everything in his power to protect her privacy and the privacy of their children.”
Mathews also added that Jameson’s family knows of her alleged Oxycontin addiction and said Jameson’s father “came to Tito’s assistance and Tito’s side” by bringing clothes to Ortiz when the MMA Fighter was in custody yesterday.
Mathews said of Jameson’s right arm injury, which she has noted as “two torn ligaments“: “Jenna unfortunately has a scratch on her elbow. Oftentimes when you have people on Oxycontin they don’t have the best balance.“
Before the Ortiz’s allegations of Jameson’s Oxycontin use, she told reporters of her incident with the MMA Fighter: “He did not beat me. If he would’ve beat me, I would be dead right now. There was an altercation. I’m just really happy that I got to speak with him and I hope everything works out.”
After Ortiz’s press conference, which included the Oxycontin use allegation, Jameson said: “Talk about trying to save somebody’s ass for being a wife beater. He’s trying to save his career.”
TMZ.com also has additional details from Jameson and attorney Mathews on the allegations:
TMZ just spoke with Jenna — while she was driving to Las Vegas — and her version of what led to Tito’s domestic violence arrest is brutal.
Jenna claims that during an argument Monday morning she “said something very hurtful to his ego.” She alleges that Tito then grabbed her and, “threw me into the bathtub and tore two ligaments in my shoulder.”
Tito’s attorney Chip Matthews strongly denies that, saying … “He did not put his hands on her, he did not hit her, he did not do anything to her.”
Matthews claims Tito found pills in Jenna’s pants pocket — and that when Tito confronted her she had an “emotional meltdown.”
Jenna says Tito’s addiction allegation is, “completely false” and “the last nail in the coffin” for their relationship.
I noted yesterday that this story could completely change by the hour. It has, and will likely continue to do so. Ortiz and Jameson are miles apart, so obviously someone is misrepresenting the facts.
