OLE MISS FANS SAVE CLASSY SABAN A TRIP TO SHOETERIA: The CLARION (MS) LEDGER (via BIG TEN TAILGATE) reports that after officials handed Alabama a win over Mississippi last Saturday, “Ole Miss will decide today whether to pursue asking the SEC to review a controversial officiating reversal in the waning seconds of the Rebels’ 27-24 loss to Alabama.”

More interesting (and amusing) was Ole Miss fans’ reax to the call that gave the game to Nick Saban’s overachievers: “Among the items thrown on the field were liquor bottles and a complete set of red high heel shoes.”
But thankfully, Saban had his typically restrained reaction about the display: “There is no class in that. I just want our players to represent the university with class. If (Ole Miss fans) want to be classless, that’s their business..”

Right, if anyone knows about the classy way to throw things on opposing players, it’s Saban’s Alabama fans.
