An athletic department source at the University of Missouri confirmed to me this afternoon that Mike Anderson has informed Mizzou Athletic Director Mike Alden that he is departing the school for Arkansas.
After the news, Alden had the sign above Anderson’s personal parking spot outside Mizzou Arena removed.
UPDATE: After my report, a Missouri Sports Information Department official said Anderson’s parking space sign was “stolen” and not removed by the school.

There are a variety of good reasons why Mike Anderson was an assistant coach for 17 years… I just cannot think of any at the moment…I’ll ask Coach Ron Zook.
