Last week Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle/convicted felon Tank Johnson got a bit bent out of shape after he felt the Washington Redskins celebrated a bit too much after beating the Cowboys. In particular, Tank was upset with Rock Cartwright for standing on the Cowboys star at midfield and playing to the crowd.
Well, if Tank was ticked off with Rock over just standing on the star, he better hope the Cowboys secondary can keep Chad Ocho Cinco out of the end zone this Sunday. If they can’t, Chad has already got some plans for how he’s going to celebrate.
From the CINCINNATI ENQUIRER:
“That’s America’s team. It’s one of the greatest organizations ever,” Ocho Cinco said of the Cowboys.
“This week, to show my respect for Dallas and its owner, Jerry Jones, I’m going to score and I’m going to kiss the star. I’m telling you, I’m not being rude about anything. I’m going to kiss the star. It’s going to be fun. I’m excited to go to Dallas. You know, T.O. (Terrell Owens), you’ve got two of the don’t-know-what-is-going-to-happen-next receivers playing. It’s going to be fun.
“Man, we are going to throw everything, including the kitchen sink, out there in Dallas. I’m bringing the cold tub, the hot tub. I’m bringing the training room. What else can we do? I think we need to open up, period. That’s what I think. I think we’ve been very vanilla. I don’t know the word to use. I’m not sure why, but at this point, you’ve got to go all out.”
Of course, in order for Chad to kiss the star, he will have to get in the end zone first. Which is something he’s only been able to do once this season. Hell, through four games, Ocho Cinco only has 11 receptions and 116 yards. Not to mention, the Bengals are a magical 0-4 on the season.
Maybe - and I’ll admit, this is thinking outside the box a bit - just maybe, Chad and the Bengals might want to spend their time this week figuring out a way to actually win a football game, instead of worrying about how they’re going to celebrate possible touchdowns. Just a thought.
