What delicious irony: The NEW YORK POST’s PAGE SIX sneaks out word that a Manhattan restaurant has been secretly videotaping its customers - such as New England QB Tom Brady.
The Chinese eatery Philippe admits they have cameras installed in their private rooms. But they say the filming’s for security purposes, as a to keep an eye on the expensive wine bottles stored in the rooms.
But one insider told Page Six that after some of the privates parties, restaurant employees would view the footage, and they weren’t just monitoring the Merlots:
“They’ve watched tape of Diddy and Sienna Miller hanging out and Tom Brady and Gisele (Bundchen) hooking up. They get a kick out of it, they laugh and comment on people. Only a small circle of staffers there (knows) what’s going on.”
A spokesman for Philippe denies the private room peeping, claiming that the security tapes are often deleted, and any allegations that employees could watch the footage are “completely and utterly false.”
But it looks like Bill Belichick has found a new favorite spot the next time he’s in the mood for moo goo gai pan.
