NOT-SO-EVIL EMPIRE MAKES DONATION TO VIRGINIA TECH: The New York Yankees donated $1 Million (or one day’s salary for Roger Clemens) to the Virginia Tech “Hokie Spirit Memorial Fund”.

Ceremonies were held before Wednesday’s game against the Red Sox. A Virginia Tech logo was painted on the field, while Yankees players’ caps included the ‘VT’ mark.

Eariler last April, the Washington Nationals wore VT caps during a game in support of the school.

The Yanks are also planning on playing an exhibition game on or near the Blacksburg campus next season.
