If the above stand-up was done by a "normal" dude ... eh, not bad. Not really funny.

If the above stand-up was done by a pro footballer ... hey, that's not bad. Actually, that's pretty funny. Well done.

It's all about expectations. Most applaud a pro athlete's ability to string together a coherent sentence ... so the standard is very low.

I've paid and seen worse comics. He was entertaining, maybe because I knew he was an NFL player but I was entertained.

If he weren't an NFL player, would you still be acting as if he gave an amazing performance?

He made an Office Space reference which alone would get 99% of all comics slapped around.

I'm not saying he didn't try. He did and he should be applauded for doing so but if he weren't sporting an NFL jersey, he would simply be just a guy at an open mic and you wouldnt care to watch the video and you certainly wouldnt be acting as if George Carlin just reached out from the other side to give him a high-five.

Pretty girls can tell knock knock jokes and make people laugh and basically anyone with a modicum of celebrity (albeit minimal in his case) can do something and be told how good they are because others long for that association or rub.

If this guy were David Anderson from the local Rite Aid warehouse; would you feel the same about his act?

Let me know.

Uh, based on the laughter, I don't think the "TPS report" joke flew over too many heads.
