The writer of this article, and the coach, need to stop publicity hunting. The New Yankee Stadium was built beyond the left field wall of the old park in a field on the otherside of 161st St., taking the place of what was a track and a makeshift parking lot. The baseball fields in McCombs Dam Park are behind the 3rd base side of the old park on the otherside of Ruppert Pl, and backing up to the Major Deagan. Maybe the kids can move 4 blocks up to 165th and go to John Mulaly park. There are 2 fields there. Or we can just move them to the East River. I'm told you can walk on it.
